Forex Trading How to - The Concept of Naked Trading

by : John Templeton

You may or may not have heard about the tern "naked trading". It guess it depends on how long you have been trading. If you are unfamiliar with the phrase, you may have had a chuckle. You may be wondering "how in the world would taking off my clothes help my trading"? It really has nothing to do with your clothes. What you are taking off are you indicators.

Depending on how long you have been trading with indicators, this may sound like a terrifying idea, especially if you have no history of trading without using indicators.

If you are one of those traders who only know how to trade with indicators, all I can say is that you are relying on a "trading crutch". When I first started trading I relied heavily on indicators, as well. But I am here to tell you that you don't HAVE TO use them.

I say "HAVE TO", because a lot of traders feel this way. It's because they have been programmed to think this way. But when you are not having any success trading this way, it's about time to think outside the box, a little.

I think most people are initially drawn to indicators because of the false sense of safety that they provide. Indicators are like a shortcut that make traders think they have an understanding of the market, but it's just not the truth. In actuality, you are not really trading the market. You're really just trading some random formulas.

John Templeton has been a successful forex trader after learning how to trade price action. Once he understood that all he needed to trade forex was on a plain chart with no indicators, his profits soared. You too could get a forex trading education.
